Ram Bend Test

UL Test:

The spreaders and rams are set in a test fixture at an angular orientation and loaded in spreading for one minute at 1.25 times the tool's maximum measured spreading force. The tool shall sustain the load without failure.

NFPA Test:

The tool is subjected to an off-center load of 1.25 times the spreading force measured at 95% of its full extension. The tool shall sustain the load without failure and shall be capable of generating the highest spreading force (HSF) and highest pulling force (HPF).
